Tumi Morake is a performer at heart.

Tumi has performed on stage, on television and in films in various languages.Her credits include supporting role in the international award- winning films Jerusalema,Skin and Joburg. On television , she played the lead roles of Millicent in SABC1's hit sitcom Izoso connection and Persistence in SABC 2's Askies. She also played a cameo role on SAFTA award -winning City Ses'la.

Tumi has managed to keep a firm footing as one of a handful of successful female comedians on the corperate and commercial scene. She has shared the stage with comics such as David Kau, Marc Lottering, Barry Hilton and Chris Forrest; at festivals such as Heavyweights Comedy Jam, Blacks Only, Have a Heart, Just Because Comedy Festival, The Tshwane Comedy Festival, The Lifestyle SA Festival and Old Mutual Comedy Encounters. In 2007 she MC'd at the 8th Annual Woodstock Festival. Tumi's the only female among the international and local acts at the 2009 Vodacom Funny Festival. The highlight of her career has been being part of the 46664 It's No Joke line-up.

Also a writer and a burgeoning theater director,Tumi hs directed educational theatre Arepp Theater For Life,and written on a handful of television dramas and sitcoms, including the flagship show SABC 1's Nomzamo. In 2006 Getting It On, a short film she co-wrote, won an award for Best Short Cut at the prestigious VUKA! Awards.

Tumi loves walks on the beach, which doesn't help her because she is bases in the concrete jungle that is Johannesburg.
